Coding 1


Reflection on tutorial:

I found the task of describing how to draw a specific object interesting in regards to how a computer would read a code. I think that this exercise demonstrated the logic involved within coding and will be interested to see how this is put into practice.

Within the process of explaining to someone how to draw an unknown object I found there were a few key concepts to keep in mind. These include keeping a logical process for each aspect of the object, using specific descriptions and making sure to try and convey all of the different attributes of the object.


Open Processing:


Open processing was a really interesting site to see how coding could be used with simple applications to pattern and such. The two links below are examples of how a repeated pattern can give the feeling of growth through thickness and movement. I also thought that these were great examples of simple lines being built up to create fluidity.
